Paws in the Park 2010!

Paws in the Park, annual "Save a Dog" funraiser, was today from 10am-3pm at the Longfellow Wayside Inn.  We could not have asked for a better day, the sun ws shining and the dogs were loving it.

Our buddy Bruce found himself a little friend.

And Ozzie is always up for representing his favorite place to hang out!

Buddy Dog Appraisal Day update

With over 80 people coming with items to be appraised along with many spectators out to show support, today's event was a huge success!   Between the appraisal (done by Spinner auctioneers)  and raffle, Buddy Dog made over $3,000 in donations in five hours today.  Items brought by today included, early century children's books, tapestries, china, silverware sets, paintings, early century Canadian portraits, and much more.

A big thank you to all the volunteers and Buddy Dog supporters.

Dog Hair Saves Wildlife

Did you know that hair (human or animal) is helping clean up the recent oil spill?

"Matter of Trust" is the company taking the donations of hair from Salons and Groomeries around the globe.  Then they spin them into matts which absorbs the oil and can be washed and reused about 100 times!
